During a session of the Regional Assembly of the Małopolska Region, the draft budget for 2026 was presented by the Marshal of the Region, Łukasz Smółka.
The planned revenue of the regional budget exceeds PLN 3.3 billion, while total expenditure is expected to surpass PLN 4 billion. Funds will be allocated to key areas including transport and infrastructure, healthcare, social policy and family support, environmental protection, and education. A total of PLN 395.9 million is planned for culture and the protection of national heritage.
The draft budget aims to ensure the stable functioning of the region while supporting the balanced development of Małopolska. The document implements the objectives of the “Małopolska 2030” Regional Development Strategy as well as the region’s long-term financial and investment plans.

The vote on the resolution concerning the 2026 budget of the Małopolska Region will take place during the 25th Session of the Regional Assembly of the 7th term on 22 December 2025.
