Our headquarters is situated on the outskirts of the city, near the Soła River, in the historic Lagerhaus building. It neighbors several institutions: the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, the Małopolska State University named after Rotmistrz Witold Pilecki in Oświęcim, and the Center for Dialogue and Prayer.

The museum is well connected to the city center and surrounding towns.

There are several ways to reach the museum:

By public transport:
There is a bus stop near the museum called “Uczelnia PWSZ,” served by MZK lines from Oświęcim and neighboring areas – 1, 16, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29. Return connections are available from the bus stop on the opposite side of the street, as well as from the “Oświęcim Społem” stop (next to the former entrance gate to the main PMA-B parking lot).

By bike:
The 230 km-long Małopolska Vistula Cycling Route runs next to the museum, offering a scenic and safe ride. The trip from Kraków takes around 3–4 hours. The museum has been awarded the “Cyclist-Friendly Place” status. Cyclists visiting the museum have access to a free bicycle parking area and basic repair tools. For those arriving from Kraków by bike, there are numerous train connections allowing a comfortable return with your bicycle.

By car:
For visitors arriving by car, we offer 46 parking spaces, including 2 for people with disabilities and 2 for buses. Convenient access is provided by two entry gates – from Kolbego Street and Leszczyńska Street. Parking for museum visitors is free of charge.

On foot:
The museum can be reached on foot from the train station in about 20 minutes via Wyzwolenia and Leszczyńska streets. Residents of Zasole, the Old Town, Błonie, Stare Stawy, and the Chemików housing estate can reach us via Jaracza Street from Zasole Park, then follow Leszczyńska Street or take the sidewalk along Legionów Street, next to the wall of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum.
