To commemorate the upcoming National Education Day, the Remembrance Museum invites school principals, history and Polish language teachers from the Oswiecim district to the screening of “Courier Girl” directed by Marek Luzar, which will take place on October 18, 2022 at 1 pm.
“Courier Girl” is the remarkable story of Wladyslawa Krystyna Rzepecka, née Harat, a second lieutenant in the Home Army, alias “Wanda.” In 1943, as a 17-year-old girl, she carried documents stolen by Auschwitz prisoners to Warsaw on a secret mission. They later found their way into the hands of Jan Karski. The film was shot in the convention of an interview with the main character in combination with the latest animation techniques.
After the screening of the film, participants will be presented with a gift from the Museum.
