“Discovering History Through Art”. Are you curious about the world? Do you like asking questions and creating things? If you’re looking for a creative and inspiring way to spend a Saturday morning, join the Academy!
The Young History Enthusiasts Academy is a series of workshops where history comes to life through art, play, and hands-on creative activities. Together, we discover local heritage, learn to look closely at the world around us, and develop our imagination and creativity. Most importantly, we discover that history can be a fascinating adventure.
We meet once a month for two-hour sessions from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The workshops take place in a small group of no more than 15 participants.
The third edition of the Academy, titled “Discovering History Through Art,” will show how art can be an extraordinary key to discovering the past. Together, we will uncover fascinating stories connected with the Oświęcim region, learn about outstanding artists from our area, and discover how paintings, sculptures, photographs, and murals can tell stories about people, places, and events from long ago. Each session will be an opportunity to get creative, develop our imagination, and discover history in an unconventional way.
We invite children ages 7–12 to join us.
