We are pleased to announce that our museum has received further support from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (KPO) as part of Investment A2.5.1 – a program supporting the activities of cultural sector entities and creative industries to stimulate their development.

The Museum will use the received funds to implement the project titled “ARchitecture of Memory 2.0 – expanding the mobile application with new content in Polish and English”, which is a continuation of the project completed in 2024 under the name “Design, implementation, and promotion of the mobile application – ARchitecture of Memory”

Thanks to the new support, the Museum will add to the application three new figures of children whose sculptures can be seen along the Museum’s educational path. This means that all points along the path will have their counterparts in augmented reality (AR), enabling visitors to gain an even deeper understanding of the history of help provided to prisoners of the KL Auschwitz by the youngest residents of Oświęcim and the surrounding areas.

The new version of the application will also be available in English, making the educational content accessible to a wider audience, including international visitors.

A reminder: the ARchitecture of Memory application is available for free in the App Store and Google Play.

The project is being implemented as part of Investment A2.5.1, which goal is to prevent the long-term negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and to encourage green and digital transformation in the cultural and creative sectors.
