The Night of Museums at the Remembrance Museum of the Land of Oświęcim Residents

An evening when sound, image and light combine to deliver an unforgettable experience, this show is not to be missed! On 14th May, from 6pm to midnight, the Remembrance Museum invites you to an extraordinary event combining technology and tradition, and the resulting animation depicting the history of World War II will be projected onto the façade of the Museum building. Admission to the museum is free in May and June.

The Remembrance Museum of Land of Oświęcim Residents has been open to the public since 1st May. Since then, residents have had the opportunity to visit a unique permanent exhibition that aims to restore and preserve the memory of the people who created the history of the land of Oświęcim and rendered aid to the prisoners of KL Auschwitz. As part of the Night of Museums, on Saturday, May 14, the Museum will open its unique space to the public from 6pm to midnight.

Mapping at the Auschwitz Memorial Museum

Put the 14th May in your diaries today. Shortly after 9pm on the magnificent façade of the museum building the viewers will see (…) Sunrise, chiaroscuro (light-dark), special effects in the colours of the rising sun. In the children’s room the children wake up after a powerful and terrifying explosion of a bomb that fell near their house… World War II breaks out. On this night, the combination of technology and history, present and past will result in a realistic projection and a complete show that will delight and be remembered by all who come to witness this unique event. The combination of the historical site with innovative 3D mapping technology allows the viewer to reflect on the horrifying history of World War II. Mappings will be shown every half hour from 9pm to 10:30pm (last show).
