The outstanding Polish actress will perform in a monodrama titled The Book of Herbs (and more…). Love, health, peace, theatre, good life – where can we find answers to such weighty questions? This is something you will find out in our Museum on March 30 (Sunday) at 16:00. Admission is free.
The performance was created at the initiative of Anna Seniuk, a fully original stage expression, a kind of vivisection of her artistic journey and life experiences. The actress takes the audience on a theatrical and poetic journey, captivating them with her intelligence, humour and grace.
Alongside fragments from The Book of Herbs by Sándor Márai, the performance features poems by Zbigniew Herbert, Małgorzata Hillar, Ludmiła Marjańska, Tadeusz Różewicz, Wisława Szymborska, Anna Świrszczyńska, and Father Jan Twardowski, which provide a thematic extension to the actress’s narrative.

Anna Seniuk is a film, theatre, and television actress, currently affiliated with the National Theatre in Warsaw. She is a professor at the Theatre Academy in Warsaw and has cooperated with renowned directors Kazimierz Dejmek and Jerzy Jarocki. Honored with, among others: the title of Master of Polish Language, the Award of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, the Irena Solska Award for outstanding acting . She was awarded the Gold Cross of Merit, the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, the Commander’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta and the Gold Medal for Merit to Culture “Gloria Artis”.
