September and October are perfect months to bring your class together after the summer break, reconnect with one another, and start the new school year together. If you are looking for activities that combine hands-on learning, teamwork, fun, and local history, we invite you to the welcoming spaces of the Remembrance Museum of the Land of Oświęcim.
Outdoor Scavenger Hunt for Grades 1–6
Students in grades 1–6 can take part in an outdoor scavenger hunt. Working in teams, they will solve challenges hidden along the “Superheroes Trail” located in front of the Museum. The challenges are connected with local history and tell the stories of how local residents helped prisoners of KL Auschwitz. Participants will also face puzzles, codes, and challenges that require logical thinking.
The difficulty level is adapted to the age of the participants.
If the weather is not suitable for outdoor activities, the game will be moved indoors.

Workshops and Museum Lessons
Our educational program also includes engaging workshops and museum lessons held in the exhibition space. The activities combine a visit to the exhibition with hands-on activities, allowing students not only to listen, but also to actively discover history for themselves.
For younger children – preschool and grades 1–3
The Power of Helping” – a lesson about why it is important to help others.
During the session, children discover the power of helping others. They complete activities related to the topic and create their own artwork. At the end, they learn about the people featured on the “Superheroes Trail” located in front of the Museum.
Grades 4–8
History Hidden in Objects” – a lesson during which participants learn about the history of the first Polish museum and discover what happens to an object when it becomes part of a museum collection. Students explore selected artifacts on display in the permanent exhibition at the Remembrance Museum of the Land of Oświęcim and learn the stories connected with them.
Grades 7–8 – Exploring Local History
Portraits of Those Who Helped” – an engaging lesson devoted to people who helped prisoners of KL Auschwitz. During the session, students learn about the stories of selected women:

- Portrait of a Courier” – the work of Helena Płotnicka of Przecieszyn
Students first learn about these women and their stories, then visit the permanent exhibition, where they can see objects connected with their activities. At the end of the session, they create an artwork on wood.
