We are extremely pleased to announce that our museum has received a financial support from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (KPO) based on an agreement to support the project with non-repayable aid in the form of a grant from the development plan under Investment A2.5.1. : program to support the activities of cultural and creative industries to stimulate the development. “The acquired funds will be allocated for the implementation of the project entitled: ‘Design, implementation, and promotion of the mobile application – ARchitecture of Memory.'”
The amount of 65,040.65 PLN was obtained from EU funds for the deployment of the project. The funds were donated from the KPO for Culture grant program which main goal is to prevent long-term negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and encourage green and digital transformation in the cultural and creative sectors.
MPMZO participated in the application intake for Investment A2.5.1 announced by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Applications for grants could be submitted until July 15, 2024.
The MPMZO project was one of 4619 grant applications submitted as part of the intake process. After a positive evaluation of the application by the Selection Committee consisting of experts – representatives of organizations and institutions from the cultural and creative sectors, funds were awarded for the implementation of the project. As a result of a procedure conducted by the museum in the form of a request for quotations, a contractor was chosen – Magme Agency from Chrzanów, whose offer was the most advantageous.
The “ARchitecture of Memory” app, through its interactive elements, will enrich the experience of visitors walking along the educational path located next to the museum building. The app, using the AR (Augmented Reality) technology, will become a practical tool in modern historical education.
Thanks to AR technology the existing educational path with static sculptures of children bringing help will be taken to a whole new level. The heroes of the educational path will ‘come to life,’ sharing their stories and highlighting the actions of locals who, during the war, helped prisoners of KL Auschwitz.
The application will be available to download for free in the App Store and Google Play.
