December 29, 2024, at 4:00 PM The Remembrance Museum of the Land of Oświęcim Residents (MPMZO) will host an extraordinary concert titled “Piosenka dobra na wszystko” („A Song Makes Everything Better”) performed by one of the most versatile Polish artists, Olga Bończyk. This event is the culmination of our activities in 2024 and our thanks to the supporters of our museum for their support, interest and involvement in the activities of the MPMZO.
Olga Bończyk is not only a theatre, movie and dubbing actress, but also an outstanding vocalist whose career captivated audiences with its diversity and artistic depth for years. A graduate of prestigious music schools, associated with piano and singing since childhood, she wins the hearts of audience with her recitals, such as “Piąta rano” („Five in the morning”) or “Piosenki z klasą” („Songs With Class”), accompanied by Poland’s finest jazz musicians.
The concert program will feature timeless songs that continue to touch and delight generations. Olga Bończyk will bring back the greatest hits of the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, recalling the work of artists such as Irena Jarocka, Irena Santor, Wojciech Młynarski, Maria Koterbska, and Skaldowie. Among the songs perfomed, audience will hear classics like “Piosenka jest dobra na wszystko” (“A Song Makes Everything Better”), “Tyle słońca w całym mieście” („There’s So Much Sunlight In The Whole City”), “W moim magicznym domku” (“In My Magical Little House”), and “Ktoś mnie pokochał” (“Someone Has Fallen in Love with Me”). All the songs will be presented in new arrangements that bring a fresh feel into these classics while paying tribute to their original creators
