The App “Sites of Remembrance” based on Dr. Andrzej Strzelecki’s publication entitled “Topography of Remembrance” published by the Remembrance Museum of Land of Oświęcim Residents is available in the Google Play shop.
The App may be downloaded HERE.
It was created by Oświęcim District school pupils and the idea behind it was to interest young people in their local history through the use of modern technology. Thirteen pupils registered their interest (12 made it to the end of the project) from District School No. 2 of General Education of Sport and Technical Championships in Oświęcim: Jakub Gałuszka, Jakub Joniec, Mateusz Kania, Krystian Korbel, Dawid Spisak, Julia Chmura, Kamil Rybarski; from the District Centre for Technical and Industrial Education in Oświęcim: Krzysztof Diaczek, Andrzej Likus; from District School No. 6 of Vocational and General Education in Brzeszcze: Dominika Mińkowska, Justyna Wilk; and from the Konarski High School of General Education in Oświęcim: Adam Romański.
The App will soon be made available for IPhone users in the AppStore.
